I am a wife, a mother, an auntie and a friend. I love thrifting, garage sales, re-purposing, creating, painting, anything that makes our little rental home more welcoming, comfortable and cozy. I have discovered the "art" of amateur photography & I love the idea of capturing the beauty in the ordinary everyday things that surround us. Blogging is a wonderful way to make new friends and share with people who have the same interests. My personal taste in decorating leans towards "casual cottage/coastal decor". I now have a small shop on etsy, called "SandySeashore" where you'll find some of my vintage finds, my photography and some handmade things. I hope you take the time to check it out! Thanks for droppin' in!

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy...

Yup, John Denver was singing away to ME today as I drove to Crescent BeachI cranked up the radio and sang right along...Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy...

It sure did today.  There's nothing like sunshine. It's Love from Above, I say. I hadn't been to Crescent Beach in White Rock for quite a while. It was on the cool side, I must say, but beautiful anyway.

A walk takes a lot out of me physically these days, but what it gives me emotionally,
far outweighs a day or two of pain. Especially if it's a walk on the beach, because THAT makes my heart sing! Thankfully there are several benches along the way.
Eagles! I sat on a bench for a while and just watched the eagles flying around.

I love the ocean. {sigh}

This bench is one of my favorite spots to sit and enjoy the view. So pretty.

Have you ever looked for heart shaped rocks on the beach? I came across more than a few today. I don't collect them, so I left them for someone who does, but I did find quite a few pieces of beach glass, which of course I took home :). I also brought home some seashells...

This one was even "puffed up", full of love.
I thought this one looked surprisingly like cupid had been there!

Nature offers so much to look at, doesn't it?!

One of the many pieces of beach glass I found today.
Isn't it a pretty shade of green?
Green and amber colored bottles seem to be the most common. Hm. BEER colors, Canada eh?

And a few pretty things that man provided.

I also took pictures of some amazing seaside cottages, I'll keep them for another day.
Hope you had a great day too.

I have to say, this is one prescription the Doctor gave me that doesn't taste bitter at all!

Thanks for following!
 xx
