I am a wife, a mother, an auntie and a friend. I love thrifting, garage sales, re-purposing, creating, painting, anything that makes our little rental home more welcoming, comfortable and cozy. I have discovered the "art" of amateur photography & I love the idea of capturing the beauty in the ordinary everyday things that surround us. Blogging is a wonderful way to make new friends and share with people who have the same interests. My personal taste in decorating leans towards "casual cottage/coastal decor". I now have a small shop on etsy, called "SandySeashore" where you'll find some of my vintage finds, my photography and some handmade things. I hope you take the time to check it out! Thanks for droppin' in!

The old clock face from 1769 - In a shadow box.

I finally got around to doing something with that old grandfather clock face from Sweden that my hubby's Nana and her mother brought here years ago. While in The Village (my name for Value Village) the other day, I spotted a shadow box frame, which looked to be the right size....It actually was the perfect size!

I used a sheet of black textured paper behind the clock face,
I found this little card in my suitcase full of paper products :)
the corner pieces were added, the mat that came with the frame fit it perfectly.
Sorry for the glare in this picture, but this is the how it looks finished.
I then decided that some of my keys from my old key collection also needed a home, enough with storing such little treasures in drawers!

LOVE how they look!
Then, while I was on this shadow box framing extravaganza, I thought:
Why not frame the old pocket watches my husband has...?
Let's see how they all look up on the wall!

So, how many treasures are you hiding away in a drawer? Thanks for following, xx Sandra
