I am a wife, a mother, an auntie and a friend. I love thrifting, garage sales, re-purposing, creating, painting, anything that makes our little rental home more welcoming, comfortable and cozy. I have discovered the "art" of amateur photography & I love the idea of capturing the beauty in the ordinary everyday things that surround us. Blogging is a wonderful way to make new friends and share with people who have the same interests. My personal taste in decorating leans towards "casual cottage/coastal decor". I now have a small shop on etsy, called "SandySeashore" where you'll find some of my vintage finds, my photography and some handmade things. I hope you take the time to check it out! Thanks for droppin' in!

Love, Love, Love.

Yes, this is another post of about Love. This one isn't about "Puppy Love", it's about two great people who have fallen in love and decided to get married.

I made them these two lovebirds using music sheets from 1958. Pat Boone's "Marry Me".

Kari & Leo. They are a sweet couple, a fun couple. They "get" each other. They have a good time together and laugh together. They are adorable together.

They were looking for a photographer to take some engagement pictures for them. I'm not a professional photographer by any means, I just like to take photos and have a decent camera.
Kari is my friend Karen's daughter. Karen & Don and their family mean a lot to me. I offered to do the photos for Kari, as long as she promised to tell me if she didn't like them. I was nervous.
But then, I realized, if they don't like them, no harm done. Digital cameras are great that way - don't like = delete! No fuss. They could always hire someone if need be.

In the meantime, we both looked on Pinterest and on the internet for photo ideas.

Kari found some ideas, and so did I. We both brought a few "props".

 So cute!

After the first five minutes, I relaxed and just had fun with it.
So did they! :)

 They danced,
they kissed,

and they "hammed it up" a bit,
 and they laughed.

They were just so natural.

 Lighthearted.
Genuine.

They were just so obviously in love.

It was a fun afternoon. I really enjoyed their company and seeing them together.

These two did not have to be asked to smile for the camera.
Even though they were a bit silly,

they are totally serious about each other.
 That's LOVE.
I have to say that I was totally touched by these two. They are the real thing.

Congratulations Kari & Leo!
I know you will be very happy together.
xoxo
Sandra

I am so happy for both of you.
