I am a wife, a mother, an auntie and a friend. I love thrifting, garage sales, re-purposing, creating, painting, anything that makes our little rental home more welcoming, comfortable and cozy. I have discovered the "art" of amateur photography & I love the idea of capturing the beauty in the ordinary everyday things that surround us. Blogging is a wonderful way to make new friends and share with people who have the same interests. My personal taste in decorating leans towards "casual cottage/coastal decor". I now have a small shop on etsy, called "SandySeashore" where you'll find some of my vintage finds, my photography and some handmade things. I hope you take the time to check it out! Thanks for droppin' in!

Just another day!

Hey there! Hope everyone is doing well out there in blog land....I haven't been my bloggy self lately, so for those of you who enjoy the Thrift Store posts, I do apologize. I will get back into the groove soon.

I haven't finished the bathroom re-do either. My get up and go, got up and went, so for now, it is what it is. Please don't give up on my blog, I'll be back in action eventually.

There's nothing earth shattering going on, really. I'm just experiencing some aches and pains that are preventing me from using my power tools. It seems I have something called Fibromyalgia, I'm sure some of you out there have heard of it...for now I am going for massage therapy regularly, applying heat to the affected areas and taking anti-inflammatory medications. I am not complaining, there are so many worse things out there, that's for sure. I'm just trying to figure out what helps me feel better right now.

So, if you are wondering why I'm not "doing my thing", that's why.

Today I made a trip to a couple of fabric stores looking for fabrics to make "quillows".
Do you know what a quillow is? It's basically a blanket that folds nicely into an attached pocket to form a pillow when not in use. If you google "quillow" you will find several how-to's and videos. I'll be making two sometime this week, I'll post them when they are done.

Anyway, on my way out to look for fabric, I couldn't help but take a few little detours to  take some pictures, you know me and my camera!

Sorry! I couldn't help myself! LOL
But you know what they say:
"Laughter is the best medicine!"

I love the texture and patina of barn wood, don't you?

That's all for now, hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for following!

xx
Sandra
