I am a wife, a mother, an auntie and a friend. I love thrifting, garage sales, re-purposing, creating, painting, anything that makes our little rental home more welcoming, comfortable and cozy. I have discovered the "art" of amateur photography & I love the idea of capturing the beauty in the ordinary everyday things that surround us. Blogging is a wonderful way to make new friends and share with people who have the same interests. My personal taste in decorating leans towards "casual cottage/coastal decor". I now have a small shop on etsy, called "SandySeashore" where you'll find some of my vintage finds, my photography and some handmade things. I hope you take the time to check it out! Thanks for droppin' in!

Sunday in the Garden...

I hope you are enjoying this gorgeous day as much as I am. I was up much earlier than usual, 5:30 a.m. and could not go back to sleep. So I made myself some coffee and breakfast, got dressed and went outside  to enjoy the beautiful early morning light in the garden. It was blissfully quiet, except for the symphony of birdsong, chickadees chirping, red headed finches singing their tune and seagulls from the shore not too far away...the sound of water trickling in the pond, the flowers in amazing colors, sunshine and a warm breeze, dragonflies, bees and butterflies all combining their efforts to make it one glorious day. I am so grateful!
{Sigh}
Buzzzzz.
I added a little of Mexico to the garden, with this lovely new plant.
"Sleeping in".
"Just dropped by!"

I just wish I could share their intoxicating evening scent with you.

I love the light and shadows cast by the morning sun.

Red headed finch.
I am missing the beautiful "New Dawn" pink rose I had to cut down because of blackspot that I couldn't get rid of. It persisted for 3 years, I finally gave up.
The Clematis is trying to make up for it, I think, by putting on a fantastic show!

I'll plant a new climbing rose next year, maybe two. Hmm...
what color? Pink, white, yellow or red?

Hydrangea's never fail to please!

It's always nicer to dine with a friend, don't you think?

I think this might be one of the fledglings from the birdhouse, from my previous post.

I am learning to be grateful for every new day, in spite of pain.

I hope you enjoyed your little visit to my garden, hope to see you again soon.
Now go on and have a great Sunday and a fabulous week.
